Family Photo

We have been meaning to take a family photo ever since we adopted Cash. MPR collects pictures of the dogs with their new owners, but we have either been working or it has been raining. We finally found a day to go up to The Scout.

The Scout looks out over Kansas City, every 3rd grade class in the Kansas City area takes the field trip to this spot. During a semester at Penn Valley, my geology class took that same field trip. From the school, you basically just walk cross the street. The area has changed quite a bit since my 3rd grade field trip. (Lets just say I was happy to have my 65lb. Pit Bull and 6'4" husband with me)

I didn't notice my 35mm camera battery was dead until I set it up for photo taking, drat! Luckily I packed the digy for such an occasion!

Cashious Maximus

So you are wondering what our little friend has been doing his first three weeks with his new family! Here you go!

I got to meet Uncle Pete (will you please freakin' bring Mel next time!). Sorry for keeping you up all night with nails on plastic. That problem has been fixed with a comfy towel under my bed. My parents are new to this whole dog thing ya know?

My Murph built me my very own food stand. It scared the crap out of me at first but now I am used to it.

I have had several baths, and I still don't like the water! These pictures are from the charity dog wash benefiting GreyHounds.

I have had bagels, cupcakes, peanut butter, and cheese galore! Bagels are my favorite.

I've turned Tyler into a demon, he is now a follower of 'basement cat'.

All in all its been quite exhausting so I have managed to take several naps.

It's a pretty sweet life, I really love my new home.

picture-less

Hello all thee in blog-world! Yes, I have been quite absent this summer---so sorry. I keep holding off for lack of time to upload, file, and edit pictures so I decided (inspired by the Katesters) to post w/o visual reference.

Here is some randomness from my season:

* I vowed to run 3 races this summer; I ran 1

* I said my first dog would be a Boston Terrier; 2 weeks ago we got an American Staffordshire Terrier (aka, Cashious Maximus)

* Before May of this year I loved to go fast; now it really freaks me out (I lost someone who was going too fast)

* I said I was going to the pool once a week this summer; I put my swimsuit on for the first time today

* I also vowed to get get back in shape this summer (hence the swimming and running); I went to the gym once so far, and it was while I was on vacation

Ok, so I haven't been very committed this summer, I realize that I need to work on it. However, having a new pups has forced me to walk a couple miles a day :)

**puppy post up next**
