5 things about my Dad, Steve Apostle...

1. Today he is 64 years young. And if you know my Dad, you definitely know he gets younger at heart every year!

2. Tomorrow his first born will be 30 years old. Just today he told me, "I can't believe its been 30 years since I met the most important person in my life"--- hearing those words may have been the best birthday present ever.

3. My Dad, at 64, is still the authority on any and every new movie; that is as long as it is Action/Adventure, SciFi, or Comedy; he's not so much for the romantic movies...thank heavens.

4. When my sister and I were little, my Dad use to wake us up by sneaking in our room, grabbing our feet and shouting that the house was on fire. After a series of whining "DAD!!", he'd throw a pillow at us and say "Get up!" and then walk away laughing.

5. My Dad's Father came to this country from Greece. His birth name Apostolikis, changed to Apostle at Ellis Island. He met a woman named Nadine, whose family came from Ireland, and he married her. They lived in Kansas City, Kansas. My Grandpa, Gus, was a restaurant man. He ran his own restaurant and also provided meals for the prisoners of Leavenworth. I never had the privilege of meeting my Grandpa Gus, but I have a feeling I'm a lot like him.

Happy Birthday Dad
